Dublin Port – Stena Line / P&O Ferries

Thortech International have been working over at Dublin Ports for a few years now with different national clients including Irish Ferries, Stenaline and P&O Ferries. We have had the opportunity to work on multiple different ramps to ensure they are operating their transportation services at the highest of standards, with the safest and most robust anti-skid surfacing. Whether it be complete installations, repair or maintenance works, we use our very own THORGRIP® resin system to ensure long-life surface coating and reliability.

Working with all 3 principal contractors, we installed over a massive 2700m² using our 3-part anti-slip resin system, THORPRIME®, THORGRIP® & emery aggregate. The ramps were prepared by enclosed shot blasting and then THORPRIME® STS was applied to the surface. Once the primer had set, THORGRIP® STS was applied with emery aggregate layered on top.

Due to the shipping schedules, we completed the work in phases to allow business to continue as usual. We worked on 2 ramps at a time to ensure no closures of the linkspan so there would be no interruptions to any shipments. The logistics and timing of this project were on a strict deadline which we completed in a timely manner.
